Hello! My name is Rebecca McDermott and I am thrilled to be working as an intern alongside Judy Levy and the Long Term Care Coalition, as well as the Senior Advisory Coalition, here at Iona Senior Services. I am originally from the Boston area, but currently live in D.C where I am a junior at American University. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health, and after graduation, I hope to earn my Masters in Public Health. My goal is to pursue a career in health services administration or healthcare policy. As a new intern, I am most excited to be accompanying Judy to meetings and learning about the functions of a city government. I am also deeply committed to the goals and missions of the LTC and SAC and hope that my experience here can benefit these two innovative coalitions.
