AARP Caregiving: Checking Legal Issues
While each family's situation is unique, there are some legal steps and products parents and their adult children may want to consider. Older people can establish their preferences before problems occur, through a variety of legal documents. It's also much easier to speak about these issues before there is a crisis. Eldernet
Peter M. Macy and associates produce ElderNet. Mr. Macy is an attorney who works with the elderly and their families to address health, housing, financial and legal issues facing elders today. ElderNet grows out of Peter's experience with these clients and their concerns in his law practice. ElderNet is composed primarily of links to related sites.

Metropolitan Washington Regional HIV Health Services Planning Center
The mission of the Metropolitan Washington Regional HIV Health Services Planning Council is to plan for the comprehensive delivery of HIV/AIDS services and allocation of resources for the Eligible Metropolitan Area (EMA), as mandated by the Ryan White Title I legislation.

The Center for Communication and Consumer Services
The Center for Communication and Consumer Services serves as a central source for a wide variety of information on aging for older people, their families, and those who work for or on behalf of older persons. The Center for Communication and Consumer Services resources include program and policy-related materials for consumers and practitioners as well as demographic and other statistical data on the health, economic, and social conditions of older Americans.

University Legal Services Protection and Advocacy Program
Services provided by ULS under the protection and advocacy grants include information and referral; education and training; investigation of reported or suspected instances of abuse or neglect; legal counsel; technical assistance, and litigation services; and technical assistance regarding legislative and policy concerns. All services are offered free of charge to eligible individuals in accordance with ULS' available resources and policies. ULS' staff includes professional advocates and attorneys.
